Each champagne grape variety has its own unique personality, which expresses itself differently depending on the terroir.
Varietal expression is at its purest in single varietal champagne wines:
Blanc de blancs blended exclusively from white grapes. 
Blanc de noirs are white champagnes made only from the black grape varieties of Pinot Noir and/or Pinot Meunier.
